City Offers Online Business License Renewal

For the first time, business owners can renew their licenses online.

From the city of San Clemente --

Effective immediately, most businesses in San Clemente may renew their annual business licenses online. An estimated 65 percent of businesses in San Clemente can easily renew their annual license online.

Businesses requiring third party inspections or regulatory approvals are not eligible to renew their business license electronically. By example, beauty salons and spas, contractors, and gourmet food trucks, among others, require industry-specific licensing to legally operate in the state, which must be verified to obtain or renew a business license with the City.

With the new online business renewal process, business owners who utilize the system can:

• Help the City “Go Green”
• Save on postage expenses
• Access and pay your license at your convenience
• Pay your license online with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express)
• Print or reprint your business license online

Here’s how it works. Visit the City’s website at http://san-clemente.org/sc and click on “Services”, then “Business License” and select “Online Renewal” and follow the prompts to renew your license.
